Home Sweet Home!

Well it's another wonderful weekend and what does that mean?? I am at home in Fruitland, with three of my best friends, my mom, my dad and my little Shih-Tzu, Brody, aka... “Brodimous Prime” (my mom came up with that nickname and well it just kind of stuck, often I just shorten it to Brodimous). Anyway, I have been sick for 8 days now with a nasty virus that just won’t go away. I have tried many different home remedies, from hot chamomile tea and steam from a bowl of hot water to doses and doses of Dayquil, but the best remedy that I have found to work every time for everything is being at home.

This weekend, my mom finally put up her few Halloween decorations that most likely won’t be seen by anybody else but us because well, let's face it, we don't get many visitors in our little area, not quite big enough to be called a town. My plans for today were to go visit another best friend and her adorable, 4 month-old baby girl whom live in Duchesne, but as I mentioned before I am sick and would hate to give either of them this nasty virus. I gave her a call to let her know it would be best if I just stayed home and although she said it was fine, she made me promise to come see her next weekend J. As you may or may not know, I can't break a promise (well I can, I just choose not to).

Although I love being home, I am excited to go back this weekend for school. This quarter I am taking two classes; Monday & Wednesday I have Interpersonal Relations (come to find out in this class I am learning things I already know and use when I am communicating with others). On Tuesday & Thursday I am taking a hands-on class called Massage Tech 3. Right now in Tech 3 I am learning Hot Stone Massage, yes we actually use hot stones, but we are taught to test each stone before placing it on a client's body. I must say though, massaging somebody with stones in my hands feels a little strange, but to the person receiving the massage it feels awesome! Also this quarter in Tech 3 I will be learning Pregnancy, Infant, Cranial, Reflexology and Lymph Massage. I think I’m probably most excited for the Cranial because it is all energy work and I’ve heard it can have a lot of interesting but positive effects on the client.

Well seeing that I am sick and that it is getting late I think its best I go to bed and get some much needed rest. So I guess it’s “Good Night” for now, but soon enough I will wake and be ready to start a new day. A day filled with many positives, like me getting better!
